Your identity stays private
Verification badges communicate identity and adulthood checks. They do not establish that a profile photo belongs to the verified person, and they are not a guarantee of good behaviour.
Your boundaries matter
Only mutual matches can exchange messages. Blocking stops further contact and removes the connection. Unmatching ends the conversation. Reports go to the moderation team and are not shown to the reported person.
Take your time
Keep early conversations in the app. Do not send money, identity documents, passwords or financial details. Meet in a public place and tell someone you trust about your plans.
When something is wrong
Use Report or block from a profile or conversation. In immediate danger, contact local emergency services. The app and its moderation tools are not an emergency service.
